Summer Opportunities • A Collection of Resources, Books for Summer Reading, and Encouraging Informal Discussions

| A Collection of Resources: FIRST has hosted over 180 professional development events thus far including discussions, workshops, and presentations. Many of these events included resources (slides, recordings, summaries, handouts, etc.) that are now collated as links within a downloadable pdf at first.davidson.edu/highlights. |

Books for Summer Reading: Davidson staff/faculty members may request a book from among titles previously discussed at FIRST events through first.davidson.edu/book (open until 06.19.23). |
| Encouraging Informal Discussions: FIRST will pick up beverages and/or snacks to encourage small groups of staff/faculty members to self-assemble to discuss topics from first.davidson.edu/highlights through 08.31.23. Use a P-card for refreshments, then to get info to allocate refreshment charges directly to FIRST fill out the brief form at first.davidson.edu/discuss. (If no group member has a P-card, contact Heidi North for alternate arrangements.) |
